How To Make Mongolian Beef Recipe
Get your wok or frying pan heating up on high, and add in the oil until it’s piping hot.
In the meantime, coat your tender beef strips with a mixture of cornflour, salt, and pepper. This will create that deliciously crunchy texture that makes this dish so irresistible.
Once the oil is ready, toss in the beef strips and let them cook to a beautiful, dark crispiness. You may need to do this in two batches to ensure each piece gets its time in the spotlight, but keep an eye on the pan to avoid overcooking. Don’t stir too much, or you’ll miss out on that delectable coating.
Once the beef is crispy and cooked through, use a slotted spoon to remove it from the pan and drain any excess fat onto some kitchen roll. Leave just a tablespoon of oil in the pan and reduce the heat to medium.

Now, it’s time to add in the aromatic ginger and garlic. Cook for a minute, stirring often to prevent burning, before adding in the soy sauce, pepper, sugar, and water. Mix everything together and bring to a boil, then let it simmer for a couple of minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Finally, it’s time to add the beef back into the pan and cook it all together for a couple more minutes until it’s hot and ready to serve. Stir in some fresh spring onions for a pop of color and flavor, and serve this delicious Mongolian beef stir fry over a bed of fluffy boiled rice.
